Final Exam Period/ Oral Presentation Overview

Final Meeting for English 112-11 (meets MW 6:15-7:30) will be Monday, Dec. 12 from 6-8 PM.
Final Meeting for English 112-12 (meets MW 7:35-8:50) will be Wednesday, Dec. 14 from 7:30-9:30 PM.
Meeting will be in the “regular” classroom, EN B306.

During this period, students will present on their projects.
Each student will have 3-5 minutes to present.

Grading Criteria:

  • Effectively covering topic (problem, method, solution)
  • Time management
  • maintaining eye contact
  • presenting (as opposed to simply “reading”)
  • engaging audience
  • avoidance of empty words (like, basically, ummm)
  • cohesion of presentation

    • Presenters are welcomed to make use of the classroom resources (laptop, projection screen, a/v) for presentation. Past presenters have created quick games or activities to engage and to educate.

    As this will be the final meeting of our class community, you are also welcomed and encouraged to bring snacks, (non-alcoholic) beverages, sweets, and, in other words, celebrate with a Party!
