Final Presentation Overview

Wed. 5/17
7:30-9:30 PM (note time!)
BE PROMPT

Final Presentation 5-7 mins. (including questions) per person
You are to present on your project (meaning the content of your work).

  • You may use the website, power point, or your own charming ways (sans visual aids) to present.
  • It is expected that you prepare notes for presentation– do not simply read your paper/book/website.
  • For guidance, you should review to SMH’s section on Oral Presentations.
  • As always, practice safe presenting:
    Practice (timing, flow, cadence)!

  • Review/proof any written materials/ visuals to make sure that they’re correct and appear as you intend. (check for shifts!)
  • Grading Criteria:

  • Time Management
  • Professionalism
  • Generating Interest
  • Presenting (vs. Reading)
  • Audience Engagement (can be through presentation style [e.g., eye contact, directing comments to individuals] or activities)
  • Education (how presenter ‘teaches’ audience about his/her project and its relevance/importance)
  • Website

You can work on your website until Monday. If you need help publishing, I will make an appointment to meet with you Monday or I will be on campus on Friday. Email me and let me know.
